Instead of opting for offensive, controversial commentary, Don Lemon apparently got straight-up drunk in New Orleans for CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast on Thursday night (Dec. 31). Visibly under the influence of the multiple glasses he took to the head, the network’s host everyone loves to hate garnered his first trending topic of 2016 for seemingly being New Year’s wasted.
In one of the more awkward moments of the night, Lemon complimented his co-host comedian Kathy Griffin on her assets. After Griffin removed her coat to reveal a purple brassiere, Lemon told her on live television that she had a “nice rack.” He was also seen indulging in a hot tub.
“I have to say Kathy… I have to say… nice rack,” Lemon said to Griffin. “I didn’t know you had all of that.”
At another point in the show, Lemon paid homage to a viral Vine clip while having a glas of champagne, pausing to proclaim, “I got dat bubbly,” much to the bewilderment of his co-anchor, Brooke Baldwin:
